    Dear Val and family,
Sending all our love and condolences. Sorry we could not be there today. What a blessing Pr Erv has been in our lives. We will always remember Him and His love and devotion to God… His mission stories, his rousing song services, his sense of humour, the produce from your garden… What an inspiration! We can see what an amazing man he was through the power of God! May God’s love sustain you and give you peace. Come Lord Jesus!
    Love,
    Jenny & Gabriel Palangeanu

Dear late Pr. Ervin Ferris’s family.

It is with deep sorrow to learn the passing of your dear husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle. I mourn with you in this time of bereavement. But we take courage and hope in the grace of our lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:4 (NKJV) And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

The scripture above serves as a beautiful assurance and reminder that what we see in this world will not last forever. The joys that await the believer who dies in the Lord is far beyond anything we could ask or even imagine!

Late Pr. Ervin Ferris had touched the lives of many Yung people in the weather coast of Guadalcanal Province and other parts of the Solomon Islands. I’m one among of them. He is part of the success in our education journey. To build Kopiu Adventist High School for us to get formal education. His dream, vision and mission to build Kopiu is a blessing for us, due to the financial difficulties to travel to Honiara and other province to get formal education. We just walk from our rural village to attend school.

Thank you, pastor, for your great contribution and support. You fight a good fight and finish your work on this earth. Take your rest in the arms of the lord, will meet you in that great morning when Jesus comes.
