Frequently Asked Questions About Funeral Livestreaming

We provide professional funeral livestreaming across Brisbane and South East Queensland, including homes, churches, chapels, cemeteries and outdoor locations. We understand there can be many questions when arranging a livestream, so here are some of the most common questions we receive from families and funeral directors.

At a time like this, it can be easier to speak with someone directly. There are no silly questions.

If you would prefer to talk things through, please feel free to call us.

Viewing the Livestream

How do family and friends who can’t attend view the livestream?

Before the funeral, we create a personalised Memorial Gallery for your loved one on our website. This is where family and friends can view the livestream.

You will receive the livestream link via email or text, which you can share with anyone you choose. Family and friends can then open the link and watch the service from wherever they are.

Do viewers need any special software or equipment?

No special software is needed. Viewers only need the livestream link and a device with internet access.

They can watch on a phone, tablet, computer, laptop or smart TV — whatever is easiest for them.

When does the livestream start?

The livestream usually begins about 5 minutes before the service starts, allowing time for family and friends to connect.

We arrive early to set up, test everything, and ensure the livestream is ready before viewers join.

What if someone misses the live stream — can it be watched later?

Yes. The recording can be watched later through the Memorial Gallery link. This is helpful for people in different time zones, those who were unable to watch live, or family members who may wish to revisit the service when they are ready.

How long is the livestream available?

The Memorial Gallery remains online for 6 months after the service.

An edited recording is also provided for download, so your family has a copy to keep beyond that time.

Practical Questions about Livestreaming a Funeral

What happens if the venue does not have internet? Is it reliable?

We do not rely on the venue’s internet.

We use professional livestreaming equipment with bonded mobile network support across Optus, Telstra and Vodafone. While no livestream provider can guarantee mobile coverage at every location, this setup gives the service the strongest possible connection available on the day.

What happens if there are issues during the livestream?

If internet conditions affect the livestream, the service continues to be recorded.

This means that even if the live connection is interrupted, the service is still captured and made available shortly after for family and friends to watch.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive about 1½ hours before the service to set up, test equipment, and prepare the livestream.

Arriving early allows everything to be ready before guests arrive and ensures we work discreetly alongside the funeral director, celebrant, and venue staff.

Can you livestream across multiple locations?

Yes. Our setup is portable, allowing us to move between locations such as the service and burial.

If multiple locations are involved, we recommend getting in touch so we can talk through timing and what’s possible on the day.

Is there an alternative to livestreaming?

Yes. If livestreaming is not suitable, we can record the service and provide the video afterwards.

This can also be a helpful option in locations with limited internet coverage.

Do you capture additional footage, and do we receive a copy to keep?

Yes. We can capture additional moments such as arrivals, attendees, and quiet moments before and after the service.

These are included in the final edited recording, giving your family a more complete memory of the day. The video is usually available within 14 days and can be downloaded and kept.

How do I arrange a funeral livestream?

You can contact us directly, and we will guide you through the process and answer any questions to help you make the right decisions for your family.

Your funeral director can also organise this on your behalf.
