    Dear Garry,
“We’ll see you when we can” you said in our Apr 12 conversations thru messenger..and replied only &♥️emojis last Apr 15,when I asked you to read and agree by saying Amen to the prayer I wrote for you( which I believe you did accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior) I never thought that will be your last reply..You never seen any of my messages that follows. At the dawn of Apr 19th here in in Ph,while still grieving for my sis in law’s passing,an hour after,we recieved another heart breaking news that you’re gone tooWe prayed for your healing, asked God for miracle but His will is you rest from all the pain and sickness….
Rest in peace dear brother, you will always be remembered.
    Love,
Your favorite sis in law( as you often says)

That was a fitting farewell for one of nature’s true gentlemen. He was magnanimous with his love and affection for his children & grandchildren, and his loyalty as a friend could never be equalled or questioned. Margy and I will sorely miss his late night phone calls that lasted into the early hours but always conducted with a whole lot of humour.

Not that we saw a lot of him in the past few years but our phones kept us in touch and sometimes it was as if we were all together in the same house, but in different rooms. Like you and your families, we will miss him and the giant space he leaves will take some time to fill itself but rest assured, in this house he will never be forgotten.

Go in peace, great one, you may be gone but your memories will last a lifetime with those who stay behind.

    RIP Macca

    Margy and Tony Shaw.

Rest in Peace Garry. Its just hard to sink in me and for Willy that you’ve gone too soon. We pray to God hoping for His miracle for you while in the hospital but it is Gods will be done! He want you to rest in His hands. We are sad of your passing but God rejoices as another soul enters His heaven. We will miss you, Thanks for the memories you left in us here in the Philippines. You’re gone but never in our hearts. Rest Now and enjoy heaven with our Abba Father!

I was amazed how you had a wonderful time here on earth dad. Hearing the tributes and testimonials just proves on how a funny, gentle, caring and loving big man you were! Too bad Railej wont be able to play with pop but still blessed bcoz you visited us here in PH to see the newly born Railej despite the pandemic about to blow. Didnt know it would be the last time we will see you in person. I will surely pass on the good memories and stories of pop to the little one. Rest in the arms of our Lord now dad. Thank you for the everything and we will miss you big time!

That was a lovely service, Garry would have been very proud of how is whole family spoke!

I first met Garry and the McDonalds when Garry and my Dad Owen ran the restaurant together at the Harrington bowls club in the mid 90’s. Garry was always good to me and I always thought that Dad was lucky to have such a great mate.

RIP Garry, you’ll rest well knowing your kids and grandkids all turned out to be such great people who will carry on memory and legacy.

I wish I could see you one more time,
    Come walking through the door…
But I know that is impossible,
I will hear your voice no more.
I know you can feel my tears
And you don’t want me to cry,
Yet my heart is broken because
Something we cannot do if Almighty God, say it is the time.
I pray that God will give strength
    And somehow get me through…
As I struggle with the heartache
That came when I lost you.
I love you so much Garry James McDonald
You are forever in my heart.
Till We meet again in heaven.
    Missing you so much.

    Your forever wife,
    Melchora Fajardo Reyes
