I’d like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to Gillian’s family, friends, all those who knew her. She was a colleague of mine for many years and touched and enriched a great number of lives, through her dedicated teaching and professionalism and participation in music in so many ways. Above all, though, in recent years , Gillian faced many challenges on a personal level with enormous courage and a strong determination to overcome issues, as they arose. I think some of us would have just wilted in the face of them. I will remember Gillian’s erudition and the long chats we had about life, music, spirituality, work etc : may you rest in peace, after your long valiant battles for health, dear Gillian.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We only met Mrs. McNamee once last year around this time after the musical program for the kids. Our child was in prep that time. After the show she personally came and chatted with us introducing herself! Such a beautiful and kind lady. Hard to believe she is no more. We are sure she will continue to live in so many hearts. ❣️ Winnie and Anand.

Ferne and Ant, I’m so sorry for your loss.

Ferne, I remember your mum visited during some school holidays and we all went to a holiday activity at Rockingham library. We had kids literally running all over the library and she helped us wrangle them! I also remember her at your baby shower for Carmen. It was such a beautiful celebration and she was truly glowing with pride over you xx
