Dear Mrs Hall, Jo, Duncan, Ellie and all the family,
I am thinking of you all and sending lots of love during this time. I hope amongst the sadness that there are also lots of laughs and smiles as you recall all of your special memories of Mr Hall and friends remember some that you may have forgotten.
Jo, I have such fond memories of your Dad especially during our time in London – he was so kind to let me house sit his little apartment in Richmond while he went back to Australia and the fabulous and most traditional Christmas in Torquay with your Grandmother – complete with Turkey, brussel sprouts, toasts with cherry and the Queen’s speech. Not to mention waking up to a Christmas stocking with treats but more importantly an orange. It was just like all the Christmas movies I had seen during my childhood.
So sorry to have not been able to be there, but appreciate being able to share this with you from afar.
Vale Mr Hall,
Nicole De Gioia xx

To John’s family, we send our sincere sympathies at this time. John and a few friends were attending Bicton College at the same year as myself. Some of us emigrated to Australia later in life and I settled in Tasmania with my husband John Jones.
We wish you comfort and happy memories through your own lives

We are so sorry to have missed the warm and sincere celebration of John’s life.
He will be missed by so many.
Thanks for the wonderful memories from college days.(1959/60) to our shared experiences and genuine and greatly valued friendship. A lasting memory is the trip we made together in 2008 to The Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans.
John and Lenore’s devotion to one and other has been an inspiration to us.
Vale John.

The ceremony was a lovely tribute. I was able to watch it live, far away in Canada, and feel part of the celebration of life.
