My dearest Joy and family, although I can’t be with you in person, my prayers and thoughts are with you as you mourn John and celebrate his life. I knew him only as a gentle and kind man who bore his long illness with great forbearance and acceptance. Although you will miss him so much he is at peace. All my love, Carole.

    Dear Joy and family,

We have many memories of holidays in our youth which centred around 78 John St, with our cousins.

Our condolences to the whole family, we share your sorrow. We enjoyed the video and mass for John.

    Fond regards, Michael and Irene

Dear Joy, Sean, Michele & families
Sorry we could not be with you today but being able to share in a great celebration of John’s life livestream today meant such a lot to us. Joy – you must be so proud of your family – we felt Sean had a special message for all of us with his beautiful words about his dad. “Prayers of the faithful” during mass was extra special with your little grandchildren being involved. Love to you all and may John Rest In Peace.❤️

Dear Joy, Sean, Michelle and families
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to you all today .
We felt privileged to share the church service which capsuled very well John’s warmth and ability to connect with people.
We also thank you for the opportunity to meet and chat with your family and friends as we compared notes about each ones’s contact with John.
While it must be hard to feel John’s loss, it is also gratifying to know that he has left a lasting legacy in each one of you and everyone else he touched.
May John rest in the peace he deserves.
    With our love and prayers

    Dear Joy, Sean and Michelle,
I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of John. He tutored me with Yr 11 Maths in 1972 when I was struggling with the subject. In return, I typed his uni assignments and washed his shirts. He was such a kind man.
    Sincere condolences,
    Joy Tealby (nee Byrne)
