I meet Loraine at Super cars in Townsville in 2021. I was collecting my uniform. I asked if Gate 1 was the same one as the previous year . Loraine came straight over to me and introduced herself saying she was in charge of us volunteers for that gate. Well what a wonderful caring person was she. She made sure everyone had a break even though I knew she herself was not well. So you can imagine how delighted I was she was in that same position in 2022. Always smiling too, 2023 there was no Loraine. She did tell us she wouldn’t be coming as she was going to have her knee done. She was missed. Super cars have also lost a wonderful volunteer. So even though I have only worked with her for 6 days she has left a mark in my life. Rest in peace Loraine.

Loraine,”Laney” was my first cousin.Growing up with her was special we use to call each other Sisters not cousins.Going to each others homes, going to church together(I got to pick one of her hats to wear)Fishing at Forster remembering the time when she hooked Marks nose oh how it must of hurt and how sorry she was for hurting him.Laying on the floor at our Grandparents house watching movies.Hiding under their dinning room table so our Dads would pass us the after dinner mints to eat as our Grandmother would only give them to the adults (I’m sure she knew as we giggled lots as we ate them)Loraine was such a good cook, sewing too, sports woman but Watching her grow up and the joy of her becoming a Mother to Thomas the love of her life was wonderful. So pleased her and Joe had many nice trips.Lots of special phone calls she always was such a genuine person always concerned for others.Lots of memories will be close to my heart until we meet again.RIP my darling girl.Love Robyn

My husband Craig and I were very blessed when we met Joe and Loraine on a trip to Turkey and Egypt. We became instant friends and met up in Hervey Bay, Brisbane and Tangalooma. We were planning to see them again soon. We will catch up with you soon Joe. Loraine spoke so highly of her son Tom and his partner Lucy. We were thrilled when we learnt our son Luke, fiancée Emma and baby girl Rosie bought a townhouse in Newcastle not far from Tom and Lucy. We hope to meet you one day as well. Loraine you will be well missed. Our thoughts are with you Joe, Tom and Lucy.Love from Luise and Craig Wotton

Laney was a childhood friend, we drifted apart as life took us in different directions, but we always had the strong Gloucester bond. She was always so enthusiastic and kind, a woman who tried to ensure that everyone she met came away better for it. Tomas was so very loved and she was so proud of his accomplishments and so happy seeing him settled with his partner Lucy. Joe, you may have only been Laney’s partner for a short time but together you shared so much and made each other so happy. She will be missed and all who knew her share in your grief.

I absolutely adored Mrs Anderson during my short time of knowing her. Her kindness and compassion will have a prolific and long-lasting impact on me for the rest of my life. I was a student at MHS while she worked there, and my favourite days were the ones where I got to spend time with her. Her hugs could bring happiness to even the darkest days. I will always remember how loved she made me feel, even when I didn’t feel I deserved it. My heartfelt condolences to Loraine’s family and friends. Rest in peace Mrs Anderson, you will be deeply missed xx
