Digby….mate to you and your family – I share your sorrow at this time. Your dad was a wonderful man who I shared some very happy times with; mainly through rugby. I had the absolute pleasure of also having him as my Commanding Officer; on HMAS Vendetta and also at Cerberus. Take care – I will be thinking of you while viewing the service. Regards Rod McLaurin

Barb and the wider Dunne Family, it has aways been lovely to be welcomed in, and I’ve always loved the picture of Mick on the bridge of the submarine, out as sea. With Barb as the lighthouse at home, she has been a shining steadfast light for Mick and the rest of us, and I’m sure the lovely light will still keep bright showing Mick where to rest.

    Dear Barbara and family,
Tanya and I wish to pass our sincere condolences to you at this sad time. Whilst I did not serve with Mick directly, he was a great mentor with wise guidance during my Commands, particularly bringing Collins out of build. He was a much respected, liked and brilliant officer. The service today was wonderful farewell.

My sincere condolences. I’m out of the country so regrettably could not attend the service. I had the pleasure of serving with Mick in ONSLOW and WATSON and I respected him enormously. He was a very good leader with strong convictions and a clear sense of purpose, and he set high standards for those fortunate enough to serve under him. I will fondly remember him as a fine shipmate with great personal qualities and a wonderful sense of humour.
