We were saddened to hear about Paul’s passing. Margie and I have great memories of Paul, both in Armidale in the 1980s and in Ipswich. We will not be able to attend the funeral service at Glebe Road Uniting Church on Friday due to travelling, but will view it online. We will always remember Paul’s smile and laugh forever. God bless to Kaylene, Stephen and Luke at this sad time.

    Love from
    Bruce and Margie

We were saddened to hear about Paul’s health deteriorating the way it did and devastated when we heard of his passing so soon. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, particularly Kaylene, Stephen and Luke, and Violet, not forgetting his brothers, he always fondly spoke about. I will forever cherish the help and support I received from Paul when I was going through some tough times years ago, that led him to share his love for trains with me. What a dependable friend he was. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Love and Blessings from Alvin and Memory.

I was so sorry to hear of Paul’s sudden passing. My condolences go out to Kaylene and family as well as his brothers Robert and Richard. We spent many wonderful days in their company at Heathmont. Paul was a wonderful person and long time friend and I will miss him.
He may be gone but not forgotten, Rest in peace Paul.
    Your old friend Kevin.

So thankful to be able to attend through the streaming service.

I’m so thankful to have met Paul. The first time I met him, his kindness, enthusiasm and warmth was something to be admired. As we worked together we shared many laughs and I came to really enjoy our car pool rides too and from work. I loved that he was so passionate about his family. He would speak about Kayleen and sons with such pride and love often. Every time I see trains I think of him, as his excitement for them was infectious. His encouragement and empathy to those around him is such an amazing characteristic and I will always admire the fantastic soul he was. Absolutely gutted with his passing, but so fortunate to have had met and got to know such a wonderful human.

Thank you for enabling us to share in the celebration of Paul’s life. Paul would have been absolutely delighted with the strong Christian statements; the wonderful tributes to his life, so well lived; the determined expression of celebration by the participants and of course, the trains. Paul may have passed into glory but we can see that his exceptional goodness is still with us – in his family and the community that surrounded him.
Thank you all very much indeed.
