To Wendy, Ammi, Peter, Cathy and families, our condolences on the passing of Peter who was definitely a large personality as many of these photos show and the good memories that will last through looking back on them. We will be watching the live stream and sending all our love. Bonnie, Jacky and family
Dear Wendy – please accept my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy. Peter was a skilled, honest and dedicated work colleague who willingly gave his time and guidance in the most remote parts of Queensland and often in difficult condition; and with the best possible outcomes always. Above all I valued Peters wonderful friendship and support. My best wishes to you Wendy. I treasure my memories of you both – David Brown.
Oh David. How wonderful to hear from you and
for your kind words. I didn’t know how to get onto the DEPT people to Let you all know that he’d passed away. I have such happy memories Of our days on the communities and so did he. We were so grateful to you for your friendship and for giving us the chance to work with the people there. He treasured those memories Greatly I’d love to hear from you sometime. My daughter is trying to get your email address from the people who organised this site.

Dear Wendy, Ami, Peter, Cathy and families
Our thoughts are with you today. We send our condolences to you all at this sad time!
We can’t help but remember the good old days in the far north. He was a ‘quiet character’ (until he was loud). Can only ever picture him ‘outside’ – camping; fishing; driving cattle trucks, utes or a fishing boat; harassing crocs; laughing and being ‘very kind’.
The party really is starting up there! Hope there is a good supply of beer and rum with a healthy supply of seafood to go along with it.
Cheers Peter Jones – a legend in our lives!
Love always

To my dearest sister Wendy and to my nephew and nieces Peter,Amie and Cathy and their spouses and children and their children my thoughts are with you on this emotional day. Wish I could have been there and allowed to give you heaps of hugs and kisses. Followed the service on streaming at least. What can I say about Peter I think – A Force to be reckoned with who lived his life on his own terms best describes him. He could make you cranky and make you cry but he had a big heart and you couldn’t help but love him. He will certainly be missed. Hope this day brings many happy memories and loads and loads of laughter. All My Love. Polly (Aunty Polly). X XXXXXXX
